Can anyone remember what the very first episode of Red Dwarf you saw was? Did it get you hooked straight away? My first was "Legion" from Series 6, and that definately got me hooked! ;D It still remains one of my favourites ever.

I think the first one I saw was actually "The End", but I didn't get into it then... The one that got me in was "Queeg"

I can't actually remember the first episode I saw coz it started before I was born, and I've always liked it. How old were you, SE, coz you're too young to have seen it from the start, aren't you? Just wondering.

I didn't get into it til... last year... so... If I'd watched it when it started I would have been about 4 at the time... but Australia didn't get it til about 1990 apparently so I would have been 7 or there abouts... so yeah too young really... But I'm glad I'm into it now because I can understand all the humour and innuendo without having to ask anyone what it all means

i can't remember really it was 3 years ago or so, but i have a sneaky suspision it psirens. when the after bit came on about series 1 on DVD i thought it would be cool to find out how lister got 3 million years into space in the first place.
well, while i was pondering over getting the DVD i watched the rest of series 6 (i didnt know it was series 6 then) i got hooked on it and i thought this was a MEGA program. i searched ages for series 1 and finally found it and then found out series 2 was out and found it, along with series 3. i got that.
then i went searching for series 4, and found all the shop were out of stock! so i went again when i was next free, and got it. now i waiting for series 5.
thats my incredible life story.
(LOL) ;D

I was lucky enough to have an ultimate introduction to RD. A past roommate had left his tapes of all of Series I-VII, which I stumbled upon one day. Sat down, popped the first one in and watched All the tapes over two days. Since then I have been an obsessive addict (I think I may have done something funny to my brain! ;D), and have worn down the tapes to "barely watchable." Eventually found and bought Series VIII on VHS, and am currently saving to buy the DVDs. All kinds of new fun stuff on those!
