I really didnt even THINK of that!!... Hey, you folks over in the UK are supposed to be so much more liberal and level headed concerning sex tho, compared to US (Jeez, especially with 'King Monkey Head', Bush, in charge over here right now...PRAY for us, please!!... LOL yace... I'm an Auzzie though, but yeah... But then there's that whole "no sex please, we're British" thing But on a more serious note, Proboards actually has strict rules about linking porn and other such things to their boards... I could be liable and yeah... it might be an over reaction but I think just having a bit of a disclaimer might be a good thing, just in case... What I saw wasn't that bad though, but some people might be a bit more prudish, I dunno, LOL.

What I saw wasn't that bad though, but some people might be a bit more prudish, I dunno, LOL. 'No sex, please...we're British'...I love that!... Strange, as MY interpretation of the UK is a VERY open minded society regarding sexual themes, ie, the 'Page Three Girls', etc, etc...nudity and what not always struck me as something the UK doesnt take offense to (I certainly dont! I think violence, a MUCH more 'acceptable' element over here, is perverted MUCH more as a topic of interest than something as NATURAL and beautiful as sex!) However, a disclaimer might be a good idea, altho I have NO images, etc, with nudity on that www.karcreat.com site...I swear! (take my word for it, my hosting company would have shut my site down ten years ago if I did, and Ive had the same hosts for more than that ammount of time!... Ok, heres the disclaimer, let me know if its adequate.. "DO NOT follow the link to www.karcreat.com if you are under 18 or easilly offended...you have been warned!"... K

That will do Yes that's something that's always struck me as odd. Over there sexual themes seem to be more offensive however violence makes it into a heck of a lot more things, TV and movies... Then again I'm not a huge fan of the more violent action movies or anything like that... I don't keep track of it as much... It's a rather iffy subject... I mean look at these British gangster movies, with rather violent situations... (Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels is a good example), then there's the drug scene (Trainspotting)... Eh I dunno, I lost my train of thought, LOL! It's different again in Australia, our censors ban things for various reasons... mainly the more graphic and gratuitous stuff.... but in a way it's more up to the viewer's discretion... Aah - A Clockwork Orange is a perfect example. Hmm... (I know this isn't really the place for this conversation but seeing as it's in the thread already...) ( www.signposts.org.au/index.php/archives/2003/09/26/clockwork-orange-review/ ) Interesting.... But I'm going off on a huge tangent here

Something Ive always disagreed with over here in the States, never got it...but we have a more 'forced moral' society than you do, based on double standards and other iffy foundations...you folks have always struck me as a tad more open minded and a bit more correctly directed as far as assigning values to a given subject... It's a rather iffy subject... I mean look at these British gangster movies, with rather violent situations... (Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels is a good example), then there's the drug scene (Trainspotting)... Never saw Trainspotting, my wife and everyone I know that DID see it said it was a might 'disturbing' and a lil' graphic...DID like Lock, Stock, tho...VERY funny film, but yes...rather more violent than I expected! It's different again in Australia, our censors ban things for various reasons... mainly the more graphic and gratuitous stuff.... but in a way it's more up to the viewer's discretion... Aah - A Clockwork Orange is a perfect example. Hmm... (I know this isn't really the place for this conversation but seeing as it's in the thread already...) Thats ok, still interesting stuff for thought... Agreed, in regards to Clockwork...VERY interesting film that, a fave of mine...great character depictions and the wrap up was exactly what suited it...great filmmaking, that... K

I myself haven't actually seen Trainspotting, but I've heard it is extremely disturbing and quite heavy.
I have seen Clockwork Orange and Lock Stock though... I preferred Lock Stock, hehe... despite it's violence... it just wasn't as intense as Clockwork was, to me. Clockwork actually disturbed me quite a lot, but it was very thought provoking...
Lock Stock was violent, yes, but the characters were likeable (Soap was my fave, hehe) and oddly enough more appealing to me... I have no idea why...
I've seen another Brit Gangster movie called Gangster Number 1 - that I didn't particularly like... I suppose it just depends... I like comedy a lot more so that's probably why...

And now here's the British POV... We aren't kinda 'No sex...' bla bla bla...we joke about it all he time. There was this advert once that was saying 'Everyone thinks we're posh, but we're not', which is actually dead true. The only upper class people live in Buckingham Palace, while the rest of us joke amongest ourselves...there's none of 'No sex' stuff in the air, any teens just go 'Ewww! Lovy duvy!', Mature Adults just dismiss it...some individuals do feel uncomfortable about it, coz it is that kinda thing, but we're not like 'Oh! Get it off the digital box, get it away!', it's just something that exists.
