Err...nope. I don't know. Is it from the first part? It could narrow it down a bit.

If anyone here hasn't read the books, I suggest you get the Red Dwarf Omnibus, it has the first two books in one and also the first draft of the pilot episode, which is interesting to read. It was a shame they cut out Rimmer's funeral scene, it's very funny! Another thing that was different in the books was that Rimmer wasn't responsible for the death of the crew.

Oh, that would've changed things...
WARNING: SPOIER ALERT!!!
The thing that let me down a bit with Backwards was that towards the end of the book Rob Grant loses referance to the Cat and Lister's age status, which makes me think that maybe he forgot; and the other thing is that they don't seem all too heart broken when they leave Rimmer and Kryten at the end. Still a good book, though.

Yeah and he thought the warning blips were a result of his spillage! You have to admit Rob & Doug work well together.

aye, they do ;D I have to say I like the first book, 'Red Dwarf' best.
(SPOILER!!)
I love the bit about Rimmer going to the android brothel at the start, and then denying it... such a wonderful addition to the story and very 'Rimmerish'; and the full story of how Dave ended up on Red Dwarf... it's so funny and well written. I love this book!

"INFINITY WELCOMES CAREFUL DRIVERS" was a HOOT! My girlfriend at the time thought so, too! So much so, that she borrowed the book and then DISAPPEARED with it....moving back to Conneticut with her no longer separated husband!

Aw! You can only order it from the US now. Wonder why that is. They only have Backwards and Last Human at Borders.
