Dimension Jump will continue as long as there are enough people to justify costs...& even if there's not enough people for a three day event it may go to one-day...in other fandoms this is what has happened.
I should think that even if Red Dwarf is no longer being made that the cast/crew will still do appearances & signing sessions...in fact, in five to seven years time the real danger might be you, not being into Red Dwarf any more!
Yours commentingly,

well SE your dream might come true because they're filming the movie over there aren't they? Supposedly, but that might have just been location shots rather than having the whole cast over to do things, not too sure... And even if the cast did come over, they'd probably be in either Sydney or Brisbane, so I still wouldn't be able to see them (darn Eastern states )... Unless I save up heaps of money and am able to get over there, but... I doubt it...

Definitions...
Pessimist - The glass is half empty
Optimist - The glass is half full
Total Pessimist - The glass has shattered & the shards have cut your hands to ribbons, you're probably going to get septacaemia & die a horrible painful death...
Total Optimist - The glass is magical & is ever-full with vintage champagne & it grants you a never-ending supply of wishes *woot*
Yours taking the Total Optimist stance,

Well, I certainly hope it will continue on long enough for me to save enough to go at least once! I have actually thought about trying to pull something together here, but there remains the fact that I live in Arkansas, rather far away from the bulk of US fans. It would prob turn into quite a party: me, pos. one or two others, and my cats. Whoo hoo! I do have a question that one of you may be able to answer: Each main cast member has been mentioned as being at DJ at some point, Except for Craig. What's up with that? Does he not go at all? Too busy? Too "good?" Anyone know? Maybe noone talks about him, though that seems a bit off too...

Every member of the main cast invited but their appearance is always subject to work commitments. Sadly Craig has had other commitments when DJ has been on the last few years.

In a Channel 4 documentery called Celebrities Disfigured, Craig went undercover as a man with a disfigured face to see if he would be treated differently. During the two days he did this, he attended a Red Dwarf convention (which I think was DJ), but he sat at the back as a fan. He kept asking the cast where Dave Lister was to see if they would bypass him or not (which Chris did on several occasions). Finally Mac Macdonald realised who it was and he came to the front. Maybe this is why he wasn't at DJ: he was in disguise!
Sorry if I just rambled on for no apparent reason then!

Slightly off topic (I don't think we even get the show here), though a similar concept: has anyone seen the movie Monster yet? Overall a Very good film, based mainly on her personal testimony before her execution, but the reason I note it is the lady who played...arg, cannot remember name ...the main character, Charees Theron...arg, cannot Spell name ... not pnly proved her phenominal acting abilities, but the makeup job was astounding! When you see her in the movie, then in real life it is just amazing. They morphed this thin, gorgous woman into a slightly overweight, rough body and face, very similar to that of the real woman the movie is about. Anyone else know what I am talking about?
