I thought Chris had a bigger pat in TR 2. With the fighting, he's on the submarine, Lara talks to him constantly through the film, gets kidnapped, into the helecopter and almost marries bryce. Whereas in the first film he's only got a few background scenes. The second one he played more an anchor role for Lara instead of butler.
