Hello again Just listening very happily to Benny Goodman's Sing Sing Sing & I'm very sure that the boggart music is a slightly re-worked version of it. Either way a fantastic piece of music which my cat seems to like... Yours yanking open all the wardrobes in the house with musical accompaniment, [glow=red,2,300] .¸¸,ø¤º°*»Ruth«*°º¤ø,¸¸.[/glow]

I have to agree, it was a good movie...not my favorite movie of all time, but the new director definatley held his own against the others two. This was aslo my fav. book, Lupin and Black being my fav. characters...I thought Oldman was perfect for Black, but horribly underused... However, i wasn't thrilled with Thewlis portrayal of Lupin...maybe it was the mustache...but more probably the standoffishness (is that a word? ) of the characters...this, i am nearly certain is no fault of Thewlis (I have seen him in others movies and have enjoyed his preformances very much) but rather the script writers...why did they have to leave so much of it out...by that i mean the marauders map's past, and the history of 'marauders' themselves....and i didn't like the fact that they didn't explain the secret keeper thing...i mean honestly, why on earth would any one believe Black could have betrayed Lily and James if not for the fact that it was supposed he was the only one who could possibly provide that info?! sorry...i just had to say that Oh, and Buckbeak! oh my Bob! I was entranced with him as soon as I saw him! my friends and I were sitting in the theatre and, along with everyone else in the packed theatre gasped with awe when he appeared... I must admit i had been worrieed, what with the horrible depiction of the Centaurs and Pheonix in the previous films...though they keep tradition with the werewolf...not to be mean, but i thought that it looked like a cross between a man and a grey hound...it looked so hungry...i wanted to pet it and give it some doggie food...poor thing but, over all the movie was good i'd say maybe an 8/10 (the deduction, of course for the weregreyhound, underusage of certain characters, and loss of background )

Oh I thought Lupin was perfect (bar the facial hair). He wasn't standoffish, more reserved I would say, which is always how I'd seen the character. After all, it must be quite hard to get close to people when you have a secret like his.
But his compulsion to give away chocolate, his belief in Neville Longbottom & the scene with Harry when he talks about Lily are indicators of a caring & endearing personality. Thewlis played that well for me...all subjective I know.
Yours opinionatedly,

I have to agree with you there... I thought Lupin was great ;D I saw a warmth in the character, sort of like... and especially after OotP, he could become more of a father figure for Harry (a better one than the impulsive, reckless Sirius...) Yeah the moustache was bad... but apart from that... he's now become one of my favourite characters, on even par with Snape and Harry (and believe me, that's very high on the list )

Lol! You know that Alan Rickman auditioned for Rimmer? Well, would you prefer him as Alan or Chris? I think I know the answer, but I'm just asking.

He would have been just as popular I think...but would he have appeared in as many movies? Yours loving Lupin, [glow=red,2,300] .¸¸,ø¤º°*»Ruth«*°º¤ø,¸¸.[/glow]

That's hard to say, to be honest... I'm so used to seeing Chris in the role so seeing Alan playing Rimmer would be totally weird But if Alan had played him originally, well... Then I'd be more used to him... Ack! I'm glad that Chris did, because I might not have known who he was other wise... Whereas I knew who Alan was because of Snape, so... I get the best of both worlds

You've totally surprised me there! I would definately said Chris Barrie coz, although Alan Rickman is a fine actor, Chris just seems to be Rimmer and he's got that comedy edge. Plus there's great chemestry between him and Craig Charles.

LOL yeah I know... Chris made Rimmer his own character, but I'm sure Alan would have done the same if he'd taken on the role instead (I see him as a similar character as the one he played in Galaxy Quest...)

lol! I saw the new Harry Potter movie recently. I thought it was pretty good ;D I do agree on the points that other people have mentioned, for instance the Marauders' past and the werewolf's appearance. But other than that I really enjoyed it
