I dunno why, this just made me really happy!
Everything that's going on with the boys from the Dwarf.
One of the benefits of the Grant Naylor Christmas lunch - aside from the free-flowing alcohol - is that you get a chance to chat to the cast and crew about their forthcoming projects. Mac McDonald, for example, has been out in South Africa for a movie shoot (a part which required him to grow a 'tache), and Doug Naylor is about to head back out to Oz on RD Movie duty. Keep your fingers crossed - and click here to read about his previous trails.
Craig Charles will appear in The Games for Channel 4 and E4 - making good on the training he went through for Celebrity Boxing before his bout with Darren Day was called off. In this third series, ten celebrities will train for three months before competing in nine days of athletic events in March, 2005. Among the contenders are Chesney Hawkes Jonathon Morris, Kirsty Gallacher and Mel Giedroyc.
Danny John-Jules returns on Monday, January 10th in a second series of The Crouches. New writers have replaced show creator Ian Pattison, but the cast remains much the same - you can see the differences for yourselves at 10.35pm on BBC1.
Danny is also currently appearing at the Tricycle Theatre, London in Playboy of the West Indies, Mustapha Matura's witty reworking of J. M. Synge's Playboy of the Western World. The run, which began on December 2nd, continues until January 28th then transfers to the Nottingham Playhouse from January 28th to February 12th.
Chris Barrie has the sixth series of The Brittas Empire due on February 21st, complete with 8 minutes of oft-promised outtakes. Peculiarly, these are actually taken from the fourth series - but hey, you've been collecting them all anyway, right? The seventh and final series will be out in May.
Chris is also running an online diary from Massive Machines on his website, which is well worth a look. It seems Chris has actually died and gone to TV petrol-head heaven!
